Chris Horton

President & Senior Contractor

Chris, originally from the UK has been involved in the Construction industry for 27 years from the age of 15 introduced by his Uncle. 

He holds a UK equivalent bachelors degree in Carpentry (Level 3) the UK’s highest Carpentry Level qualification and has been a Principal/General Contractor for 21 years, managing a wide range of bespoke and complex projects involving heavy engineering and remodeling. 

Chris has an exceptionally solid work ethic, a keen eye for detail and constantly strives to exceed his clients expectations. He has a true passion in making the construction industry better which he believes, involves educating clients on new innovative products and systems and as well as passing on his knowledge and skills onto the next generation. 

Being at the forefront of every project, Chris is always directly involved in every detail which shines through in the feedback he receives from all of his clients.

Rachel Horton

Operations Manager/Business Development

Rachel, Chris’ wife spent 15 years working in criminal and corporate prosecution law in the early years Chris was growing the company, but always helped behind the scenes. 

As the demands of the business grew Rachel came on board full time and now leads the operations of the business together with business development and has done so for the last 10 years. 

Rachel’s thoroughness in communication and organisation in both the company operations and each client’s own project, ensure a smooth running of the company, from contracts, health and safety and any necessary insurances etc. Clients are communicated with weekly and even sometimes daily in terms of progress. In addition, continual discussions regarding payment structures and the finalisation of any bespoke materials or orders that may need meticulous planning, to ensure an efficient running of their project and also bringing it in line with their budget.

Harry Coe

Senior Carpenter

Harry has been with the company for 9 years and began his Carpentry Apprenticeship with the company at the age of 17. Harry has been taught first hand from Chris not only his trade itself but the high standards we ensure to deliver to all of our clients with quality craftmanship.

Harry has developed into a valued and responsible member of the team. He is a hardworking, loyal and trusted employee and long may his future continue at C&R.

Alex Horton

Apprentice Carpenter

Alex, as well as being Chris and Rachel’s son is our newest member of the team and has now been with the company for just over a year. Alex shares a strong passion for the building industry, following in his father’s footsteps and being taught the value of hard work and delivering a quality service to all of our clients. 

Alex has learnt so much over the past 12 months and has invested well in himself and loves rising up to the daily challenges his new career is throwing at him. Alex continues to grow in confidence in his ability every day and we are sure he will be a strong member of the team for years to come.
